Welcome to the second Varnish User Group Meeting [VUG2]

The second Varnish User Group meeting will be hosted in Amsterdam on the 29th and 30th of March 2010 in the eBay / Marktplaats.nl offices, near the Amsterdam Amstel and ~3 min. walk from the Amstel train/bus/tram station.

We will have a fairly big conference room to our disposal with a whiteboard, beamer and all the tools we need, hopefully internet as well.

Attendees of the very first VUG will remember that there will be no long and borring powerpoint sessions, no lukewarm coffee and no sweaty cheese sandwiches, weird cakes et cetera. Instead we look forward to a fruitful and useful in-depth meeting about Varnish, possibly topped off with some cold beer at the end of the day.

You will have to make your own arrangements in regards to your overnight stay. Food and drinks are unclear to what we can provide, there are many possibilities in the city and there is a great restaurant in the building.

Travel

Amsterdam Amstel Station

Amsterdam Amstel Station is next to the office building, and the main point of interest to get to the VUG2. The eBay / Marktplaats.nl offices are located 3 min. walk from the Amsterdam Amstel station. The Metro system will take you there from Amsterdam Central Station and other locations within the city.

Alternatively you can jump on Bus 62 or Tram 12 that will terminate at the station.

Note on public transport; Amsterdam is moving from the traditional ticket system to a digital system. That means if you travel by metro you will have to get a digital ticket.

More information can be found here:  http://www.gvb.nl/english
