#295: Varnishd using all available memory, even using limited malloc
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Reporter: ay | Owner: des
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone: Varnish 2.0 release
Component: build | Version: trunk
Severity: major | Resolution:
Keywords: leak memory malloc swap |

Comment (by phk):
It's not quite clear if this is varnish or platform malloc.
It would be valuable if you could try to use the JEMALLOC allocator as a
test:
http://www.canonware.com/~ttt/2008/08/stand-alone-jemalloc-for-linux.html
And see if that has different behaviour.
You may also see better performance, jemalloc is king of the hill in
malloc implementations right now as far as I know.
