Comment:

 First off, /tmp/__v1 is as you probably guessed synthesized from the
 varnish instance name in the test file.

 Second, yes, varnishtest should probably hide all its gunk in a temporary
 subdir, but if you do that, you make any core dumps much harder to
 retrieve.

 Third, as I've said repeatedly, I don't think varnishtest is ready for the
 kind of limelight you are putting it into.
